| HOME TOUR Docents and Hosts: Volunteers are needed as docents and hosts for Claremont Heritage’s Historic Claremont Home Tour, held on the 2nd Sunday each October. Note: be sure to sign up early as this opportunity generally fills up well in advance of event.

The tour’s theme varies, featuring a noted architect or an architectural era or style. Volunteers for these events attend a special training at the house to which they are assigned prior to the tour. Docents share scripted material and background with tour goers, while hosts are present to help guests move throughout each property. Volunteer shifts are usually 2-1/2 to 3 hours in length. Before and or after an assigned shift, volunteers are welcome to view the other homes on tour as our guests. Volunteer outreach for all events is circulated at least 3 months in advance and requests are then filled on a first-come, first-served basis; so please reply early to receive your preferred assignments.
